1. Nature of the Service
Jefferson County Residents Directory is a private reference to public rolls, indexes, collections, and custodians serving Jefferson County, Missouri. It does not host government records and is not connected with a government office, court, library, or records custodian.
2. Permitted Use
Use the service only for lawful purposes. You may not use it or linked material to stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, harm a person, locate someone protected by an order, commit identity theft or fraud, make an FCRA-regulated decision, scrape or republish content at scale, or interfere with operation or security.
3. Consumer Reporting Notice
We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Nothing here or returned by a linked tool is a consumer report, and it may not be used for credit, employment, housing, insurance, tenant screening, or another FCRA-regulated purpose.
4. External Services
Government portals, libraries, archives, and sponsored search providers maintain their own terms, fees, availability, and privacy practices. We do not control their content or results.
5. No Warranty
The service is provided as available and without warranties. We do not promise that information is complete, accurate, current, available, or suitable for a particular purpose.
6. Liability Limits
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of this service or an external resource.
7. Indemnity
You agree to defend and hold the operators harmless from claims, losses, and reasonable attorneys’ fees resulting from your misuse of the service or breach of these terms.
8. Intellectual Property
Original text, design, logo, and layout are protected by law. Brief attributed quotations and links are permitted; systematic copying or republication of complete pages is not.

These terms may be changed by posting an updated version. Continued use after publication means that the updated terms apply.
10. Access Restrictions
Access may be suspended or limited when a user violates these terms, threatens security, or misuses records or search tools.
11. Missouri Law
These terms are governed by Missouri law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Missouri Sunshine Law, Revised Statutes Chapter 610, addresses public-record access held by custodians; it does not change a private service’s terms or override records made confidential by another law.
